NVIDIA brings AI to NPCs, WhatsApp builds screen-sharing, Distrikt launches tipping
Happy Tuesday! Captcha verification has hit a new level. Discord users are being asked to verify made-up objects in AI-generated images, such as a ‘Yoko’, which appears to be a mix between a snail and a yoyo…
🌶 Highlight of the day 🌶
NVIDIA announced Avatar Cloud Engine (ACE) for Games, an AI model service that brings intelligence to non-playable characters (NPCs). Deploying ACE allows gamers to talk to NPCs in natural language, and can create expressive facial expressions based on speech 🫠
ACE also lets companies build and deploy in-game language models, which can be customized with lore and character backstories.
While everyone loses their shit about AI, NVIDIA continues to build out the picks and shovels of the industry ⚒️
